Desain Nokia 5800 XpressMusic lebih cocok bagi kaum remaja, tapi untungnya karena dominasi warna hitam, mereka yang lebih dewasa juga cocok untuk memakainya.

Kelebihan:
- Menu mudah dimengerti, tidak berbeda dibanding Symbian S60 sebelumnya.
- Kualitas musik termasuk yang terbaik untuk ponsel, speaker stereo juga sudah ditingkatkan
- Respons cepat untuk menu dan berbagai fungsi, termasuk kamera
- Banyak shortcut yang memudahkan; misalnya jika kita mengakses call log, akan ada tiga ikon di bawah untuk mengirim SMS, menelpon, atau memasukkan ke address book. Jadi tak perlu terlalu sering masuk ke option.
- Pilihan input teks paling banyak untuk hape touchscreen; mulai dari stylus, plectrum, sampai jari, dengan metode input virtual keyboard (mini dan full), handwriting, dan alphanumeric keypad (seperti hape biasa)
- Paketnya sudah termasuk memori microSD 8GB
- Baterai cukup tahan lama, mencapai 2-3 hari tergantung pemakaian

Selain itu juga ada bug, saat kita ingin memasukkan data ulang tahun, selalu gagal dan kembali ke menu utama. Semoga kekurangan ini cepat diatasi dengan update software berikutnya.

KESIMPULAN
Sebagai piranti multimedia, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic cukup menyenangkan. Memori 8GB yang disertakan di paketnya cukup besar untuk kebanyakan orang. Untuk aplikasi game dan sebagainya, harus menunggu beberapa saat mengingat sistem operasi ini tergolong baru.
Sebagai alat komunikasi, ponsel ini juga handal dan mudah digunakan. Bahkan Nokia sepertinya tetap menjaga agar 5800 XM ini merupakan ponsel dengan fitur multimedia, bukan perangkat multimedia dengan embel-embel fungsi telepon. Ponsel ini (menurut saya) merupakan ponsel touchscreen terbaik untuk urusan SMS-an. Jauh di atas iPhone dan smartphone Windows Mobile (yang hanya dilengkapi touchscreen tentunya).

Ini dia hape dual mode bagi para pengguna hape yang punya banyak nomer persembahan Nexian, yakni NX-250D Dual mode.

Nah, di Nexian itu nggak perlu buka batere segala, karena simcard-nya diletetakan bertumpuk di balik cover belakang hape. Cukup buka cover belakang hapenya lalu pasang deh tuh simcard.

Konsen dari hape ini tentunya fitur dual modenya yang bisa dipake buat semua operator yang ada di negeri ini. Ini merupakan selling point yang bagus sebenarnya, karena hape ini bisa on di semua frekuensi baik 800 Mhz dan 1900 Mhz untuk CDMA, maupun 900 Mhz/1800 Mhz/1900 Mhz untuk GSM.

Fitur lainnya yang ada di hape ini adalah kamera yang sudah berkemampuan 2 MPix, serta video yang bisa merekam dengan format MP4. Selain itu ada juga Bluetooth, serta external memory (gratis 512 MB saat pembelian) dan bisa dipakai sebagai removable disc serta memiliki fitur WAP browsing.

Kinerja

Seperti dijelaskan diatas, disamping hape ini bisa dipake oleh semua operator, hape ini pun memiliki kemampuan lain seperti untuk motret, rekam video bahkan bisa dijadikan modem untuk berselancar di dunia maya.

Kemampuan dual modenya pun dirasakan sangat mudah karena berkat tombol yang ada di kanan kiri hape ini. Sebelah kiri untuk CDMA dan sebelah kanan untuk GSM, jadi tinggal ketik nomer hape yang akan dihubungi atau masuk ke daftar hape tinggal pencet deh mau pake CDMA atau GSM.

Namun sayangnya untuk urusan ngirim SMS jadi sedikit ribet. Karena memerlukan 15 langkah untuk bisa mengirim sekali SMS. Andaikan bisa disederhanakan mungkin akan lebih asik kali ya.
